Sharepoint User Basics

Microsoft SharePoint streamlines document management within workgroups.

It enables you to manage content, share information, and collaborate across teams, enhancing productivity and communication. This course is designed for Microsoft Office users in a SharePoint environment, and who need to share information and collaborate with team members.

Organizations are encouraged to share their leaming objectives so that the lesson plan may be tailored to suit their needs.

Learning the difference between OneDrive, a Teams site, and a SharePoint stand-alone site

  • SharePoint interface
  • Navigate within a SharePoint site
  • Gain access to a site you didn’t create
  • Searching a site
  • Working within a document library
  • Store files in a document library
  • Document check out and check in
  • Version history
  • Tagging documents, adding comments, @mentions
  • Managing file versions and document recovery
  • Working together on documents
  • Working with documents on the web vs/ desktop and best practices
  • Create a list within SharePoint
  • Changing view options
  • Create a custom view
  • Search for items in lists or libraries
  • Navigate among its pages and resources
  • Lise SharePoint lists to track and view information
  • Use libraries to share and organize documents
  • Share files via Outlook
  • Author Document

Time permitting a sneak peak at what a SharePoint page is

  • Add and modify sections
  • Add, move and remove webparts

Delivery Formats

  • This workshop is delivered online in
  • one full day or two half day sessions One full day workshop: 9:00am-4:00pm
  • Two half day workshops: 9:00am-12:00pm or 1:00pm-4:00pm
  • Delivery and learning materials are in English or French.

Minimum and Maximum Participants per Workshop

  • Minimum: 8 participants
  • Maximum: 20 participants

Costs:

  • 8-12 participants – $599 per person + HST
  • 13- 20 participants – $499 per person + HST
